Caviar dinner at Rumene Manor

The day was rainy, but it cleared closer to the evening when everyone gathered at the beautiful Rumene Manor in Rumene. The occasion was special – a Malakhoff Caviar inspired dinner made by chef Lauris Aleksejevs (restaurant 36. līnija) paired with small-grower champagnes from Noble Wine. The manor was set up as a big dining hall with tables everywhere. Guests arrived and enjoyed their glasses of champagne while strolling around the property and enjoying the bonfires after coming in. It was a six-course menu mainly featuring fish and caviar, but with a break for beef, and the most divine caviar deserted to finish – white chocolate mousse with caviar. Time passed by much too quickly, as it always does when the food is excellent and the company even more so.
